The ‘Food and Beverage’ markets raise several demands for our Designers and Application Engineers. Not only must the seals be chemically compatible with the ingredients of the food they will come into contact with, but they also need to be compatible with any cleaning fluid that may be used in CIP (Clean In Place) or SIP (Steam In Place) or general wash down. Process or cleaning temperatures may also effect the compound selection.


They must also withstand the often abrasive nature of the food due to the salts and sugars used and remain compliant with the strict high purity standard within the sealing material such as FDA or BfR which stipulate acceptable ingredients that are neither toxic nor carcinogenic. There are other specific approvals such as 3-A and E-3A and NSF51 that can be requested depending on customer requirements.

We can offer a wide range of solutions from standard profile seals in applications from pumps, mixers, dispensers, depositors, piston fillers, can fillers, drink dispensers, vending machines etc.


Typical products include: Orings, Xrings, Slipper seals ,Flexiseals, Diaphragms, Rotary Seals and Metal Seals.


We also develop special seal solutions for our customers. With increasing demands within state of the art food equipment  that require seals to function at increasing speeds, pressure, temperatures and specialised size requirements it is necessary to develop alternative seal solutions to the standard range. Prior to cutting prototype tooling we can often optimise the design by using FEA analysis reducing time in testing and providing ideal solutions for your production.
