To meet the required standards and approvals demanded by our Automotive & EV customers strict quality procedures are maintained at all stages of our design, development and manufacturing process to ensure we supply consistent, high quality products into safety critical applications.

Market features

ISO9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 approved and manufacturing IATF16949:2016 approved

Huge product range for all conditions in combustion engine and electric vehicle applications

The latest innovations in seal design and materials technology

Broad range of materials specifically developed and accredited for automotive applications

About the Automotive & EV Market

Our extensive range of seals for Automotive & EV applications includes o-rings, bespoke rubber seals and gaskets, diaphragms, 2-shot mouldings. metal seals, PTFE spring energised & co-axial seals, rotary seals, oil seals and composite seals (chemical bond or over-moulding).

Our application engineers utilise the latest in 2D/3D CAD and FEA simulation software to design and replicate automotive seal performance before finalising each individual seal design, incorporating significant feature and critical function elements for integration with customer mating parts. We offer material development and testing, and a component endurance testing service.

Air admission, fuel and EGR management

We supply seals suitable for high static or pulsating pressure application, material grades suitable for selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) exhaust gas and diesel powered vehicle after treatment systems (AdBlue® tank sealing).

Braking systems

We provide controlled running friction and wear on seals to maximise life, system critical components with strict process control.

Cooling & lubrication systems

We have superior material grades, compounds compatible with eco friendly air con gases and compressor oils (CO2/PAG/PAO/POE oils).

Transmission & steering

We supply seals for high pressure, high speed, broad range of elastomeric materials for new generation fluids.

Chassis & suspension

Abrasion and loading resistant high strength materials.

Electric Vehicles (EV)

Electric vehicles (EV’s) are quieter and have lower emissions in general compared to internal combustion engines (ICE). There are different technologies available. Hybrid vehicles (HEV/PHEV) have a petrol or diesel engine combined with an electric motor and a relatively small battery. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (HFCV’s) have no combustion engine; instead a fuel cell produces electrical power by passing hydrogen and oxygen gases through a battery cell with anodes and cathodes which produces electricity.

Regardless of the engine differences,  most of the traditional automotive sealing applications are still found in electric vehicles. These include steering, cooling, suspension and oil and braking systems.

Additionally, EV product characteristics and specialist applications include seals required for high speed rotary applications, RFI/EMI (Radio Frequency Interference/Electro Magnetic Interference) and environmental gaskets for electronic control, junction & connection boxes and environmental seals for charging connections & ports.

Quality Assurance

We have a dedicated team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors ensuring that advanced product quality planning is at the heart of our quality function who mitigate risks during all manufacturing processes, regularly review process controls and stability, PPAP review and continuously monitor production SPC data.

We regularly challenge our manufacturing facilities for continuous improvements to processes including follow up-audits, implementation of adequate prevention measures to avoid repeat issues, analysis and review of similar products to prevent future issues, effective root cause analysis and preventative actions review.
