Design & Support

We provide unrivalled technical and engineering support to ensure our customers benefit from the best possible seal performance at optimum cost.


We are dedicated to providing a complete design service; from initial seal geometry and profile choice, to material selection and groove details including housing surface finish recommendations, through to prototyping and final production.


Once a design is finalised we have the knowledge and expertise to determine the best manufacturing methods and tool design for production of parts.


This can be crucial with large or intricate seal designs to ensure that expensive tool space is not wasted and to ensure maximum lifts are achieved from each production run whilst still maintaining tool costs within a cost effective budget.


In short; we provide both in-house and on-site technical support and have the skills, experience and resources to assist customers in all industries; regardless of the complexity or the challenges involved in each application.



We offer a wide range of base elastomer compounds available in varying shore hardnesses, including (but not limited to);


  • Nitrile (NBR
  • Fluorocarbon (FKM)

  • Vamac (AEM)
  • Neoprene (CR)

We also manufacture seals in a wide range of both virgin and filled thermoplastic and plastic materials such as PTFE, TFM, PEEK, UHMP-WE, Polypropylene (PP) and Polyamide (PA) materials which can be tailored for each individual customer application. Any testing program that is a prerequisite to meet internal customer engineering and quality systems can be catered for.


Depending on the application parameters or the industry involved, we have a portfolio of standard materials with special approvals. .For example, WRAS approval for the water industry, NORSOK M710 for the oil and gas industry and ISO10993 for the Life Sciences industry.


Our experienced materials engineers work in conjunction with our manufacturing facilities and materials laboratories to develop our base materials to meet special ASTM or ISO call-out requirements, or individual customer specifications such as chemical/fluid testing or compressive stress relaxation duration tests.


Our Application Engineers utilise years of seal design experience to provide our customers with the most cost effective sealing solution for each bespoke application.


They use their technical expertise with groove fill calculations and materials experience, alongside technology such as 2D/3D CAD and stress/strain material information to enable Finite Element Analysis (FEA) programs which allows them to investigate various difference design scenarios to simulate performance before finalising each individual seal design.


After the initial design stage, we can also provide a rapid prototyping service by 3D printing our proposed seal designs for “fit for purpose” testing in customer housings to further support the information provided by our FEA analysis. We can even investigate as in-depth as suggesting adjustments to the design of customer housings to improve seal performance, or initiate cost-downs of hardware if the project allows.

Testing & Development


Our in-house test and inspection facilities include:


  • Non-contact measurement machines
  • Tensile strength testing
  • Specific gravity testing
  • Surface finish testing
  • Tension, compression, flexure and shear strength testing on materials and assemblies
  • Material hardness testing to IRHD, Shore A and Shore AM. We also have access to and experience with access to 3D Printing and rapid prototyping external material testing and certification

The Parker product portfolio has been developed for use in applications throughout industry, ranging from automotive, chemical, biotechnology and food processing, to fluid engineering, refrigeration, mining, aerospace and semiconductors.


The Parker product range is the most extensive available from any manufacturer, and includes O-rings and special moulded parts in more than 300 compounds, with specially developed materials approved to NORSOK, FDA, USP Class VI, ISO10993, NSF, WRAS and DVGW.
